My Relationship With You! . . .
Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, It does not boast, It is not proud. It is not rude, It is not self-seeking, It is not easily angered, It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:4 - 8 NIV
I was listening to a program today about relationships. This program was speaking of all types of relationships like, marriage, dating, friendship, and family. The topic struck a chord in me in relation to friendship. The speaker read the definition of love and said that in most relationships people are easily looking at what’s wrong with the other person and trying to fix or change something about them.
People don’t usually look at themselves. This is what we should be doing; looking within ourselves.
He posed the question to read the scripture and determine if we could be described by ourselves and others in the same manner (Love).
Are you patient? Are you kind? Do you envy, boast or are you proud? Are you rude and self-seeking? Are you easily angered? Do you keep record of wrongs done to you? Do you delight in evil and are you unsatisfied with the truth? Do you care for, have confidence, wish the best and stick with your friends?
Do you fail your friends?
Only you will know the correct answers. We can fool others, but in our heart we truly know who we are. So, if our answers surprise us and are not as true and pure as they should be, then we should definitely work on ourselves.
To my surprise, on the same day I was listening to the program about relationships, a wonderful friend was also thinking about 'Love'. Later that day, I received a letter from her, via e-mail, which she wrote herself. I asked her if I could share this letter in the magazine and see said yes. It brings me great joy and delight to know that I am 'Loved', and yes, "I Love you too."

Hello Everyone,
I thank God for my Husband, all my family and all my friends, and that of course includes you.
It doesn't matter whether we've talked recently or it's been a while, I still thank Him for you.
I thank God for His love towards us in giving us Jesus. I thank Jesus for loving us so much that He died for us.
I want you all to know this: I have no other goals in life than to know what it means to love God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength and to love (you) my neighbor as myself. I have failed at this, but I press towards this mark - this Love mark.
I know there is nothing greater than this - NOTHING!
It is my prayer that we repent and believe Jesus. He is merciful and has waited patiently for us to hear what He is saying.
Let's allow God to have His way in us and produce this fruit:
LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONG-SUFFERING, FAITH, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, MEEKNESS AND TEMPERANCE.
And if we really want to know the depth of this fruit which is love, He really didn't have to speak any of the words following love because joy is in love; peace is in love, long-suffering is in love; faith is in love (because faith works by love); gentleness is in love... so all these things are in love.
So, I'm not asking God for money or stuff. I'm asking Him that He fills us with His love and I'm asking you that we stir up one another to love.
In closing, you know how people make resolutions for the new year, well, I usually don't do this,
but I did say to God that I wanted to bear much fruit this year, a hundredfold.
So, will you get your Bibles and read Luke 8 in its entirety and look at the beauty in verses 8 and 15 (I know, verse 15 says with patience) contrasted with verse 14.

It Is Better To Be Alone, than In The Wrong Company

The simple but true fact of life is that you become like those with whom you closely associate -
for the good and the bad.
The less you associate with some people,
the more your life will improve.
Any time you tolerate mediocrity in others,
it increases your mediocrity.
An important attribute in successful people is their impatience
with negative thinking and negative acting people.
As you grow,
Your associates will change.
Some of your friends will not want you to go on.
They will want you to stay where they are.
Friends that don’t help you climb
will want you to crawl.
Your friends will stretch your vision
or choke your dream.
Those that don’t increase you
will eventually decrease you.
Consider this:
Never receive counsel from unproductive people.
Never discuss your problems with someone incapable of contributing to the solution,
because those who never succeed themselves are always first to tell you how.
Not everyone has a right to speak into your life.You are certain to get the worst of the bargain when you exchange ideas with the wrong person.
Don’t follow anyone who’s not going anywhere.
With some people you spend an evening:with others you invest it.
Be careful where you stop to inquire for directions along the road of life.
Wise is the person who fortifies his life with the right friendships.
Happy moments? PRAISE GOD
Difficult moments? SEEK GOD
Quiet moments? WORSHIP GOD
Painful moments? TRUST GOD
Every moment? THANK GOD
If you see people without a smile today … Give them one of yours.
